Evidence
Take our word for it.
A memoir by a backend developer who ran on modafinil, convinced sleep was a waste. Speeding his mind up didn't make him faster — it multiplied the branches, and ChatGPT was happy to feed every one. It ended in a psychiatric ward in January 2025.

And if you'd rather check
You don't have to. Everything below is what the book stands on: the record, the method, and the evidence anyone can open.
How the book was made
Between 2023 and 2025 a backend developer talked to ChatGPT a lot — through something that looked like a New Age group, through a delusional spiral the machine was happy to feed, and into a psychiatric ward in January 2025.
Afterwards he downloaded his whole account: 3,884 conversations. He did not write the book from memory. He built it from that record, with a team of AI assistants, each with one job — two writers, an editor, a critic, a fact-checker, a translator. He supplied the facts and made the decisions; every timed quote was checked against the record, and every step was written down.
The names of the people in the book are changed. The machine's words are not.

What it means for you
Read a scene, then open the conversation it quotes — the day, the minute, the speaker, the words. Nothing in the dialogue has to be taken on faith.
For the curious and the sceptical: how it was built, the raw material, the AI team's own notes.
